How to distinguish the made up from the made up

This is from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2029368/King-Arthur-loses-court-battle-Stonehenge-remains-returned.html

(08-23) ... United Kingdom (AP) --
A self-styled Druid king has lost a legal bid to reclaim remains which had been dug up at the ancient stone circle of Stonehenge.
Justice Wyn Williams ruled Tuesday that the Rev. King Arthur Uther Pendragon, who claims the title of chief of the Loyal Arthurian Warband Druid order, would not be allowed to pursue his case against Britain's Ministry of Justice.
The ministry has allowed researchers from Sheffield University to keep the 5,000-year-old cremated remains of more than 40 bodies until 2015.
King Arthur is a 57-year-old military veteran who had his name legally changed. He dressed in white druid robes and represented himself in court.

Did our planet once have two moons

This from Nature magazine. The blurb states the hypothesis simply and is quoted here in its entirety.
...
The Moon is a satellite of two distinct halves. The nearside that
faces us all the time is low in altitude, flat and dark coloured
whereas the farside is mountainous and deeply cratered. A new
hypothesis suggests that Earth once had two moons, and that this lunar
dichotomy was the result of a collision between them.
